Our students do not just read Shakespeare; they perform his plays. They do not merely learn about art and music; they create it. And they do not merely receive discipleship; they also provide it. Middle schoolers are paired with younger children as prayer partners, and they develop real relationships. Our students feel like they are in a family and therefore comfortable around each other and confident that they are accepted for who they are. And like siblings, they also argue and annoy each other! But they are regularly reminded that, as sinners who are being redeemed, they are called to love one another as God made them. It is a difference that shows, not least in the alumni who return year after year, telling how they have carried the lessons of PCS with them into high school, college, and beyond.
